Welcome to Hauxton Trout & Carp Fisheries Cambridge

I am Will Garfit and as an artist, conservationist and fisherman, I designed and created the attractive lakes for fishing and wildlife.   
The Lodge Lake and the Horseshoe Lake were designed as trout fisheries with open banks to facilitate easy casting.
The carp lake has swims set in willow tree lined banks. Each secluded swim is like a theatrical stage for the angler to imagine and anticipate good fishing, as the grey shadows of carp cruise by. It is enjoyed as a recreational carp fishery where you may catch a lot of fish up to 20 lbs. It is not a specimen carp fishery with monster carp.
We run both fisheries as small friendly syndicates with no day tickets. We produce great sport for you whether you are an experienced angler or an enthusiastic novice taking up the sport. Both trout and carp fisheries are ideal for members to introduce their children to fishing.
The whole complex of beautiful lakes is set in an award winning nature reserve. They are buzzing with wildlife. There are kingfishers, grebes, warblers, ducks, geese and swans. Swallows, martins and swifts whirl and wheel overhead by day while bats do so at dusk. Butterflies and dragonflies dance and sparkle along the banks and it is just a place of joy to fish and relax.
Being a private reserve, the area is secluded and safe and in fact it is one of the county’s best kept hidden secrets.
